DIY Hair Growth Recipes To Try During Quarantine

The Luscious Green Tea

You will need:
1 tsp of organic green tea powder (or 1 teabag)
2 cups of water
1 tsp of olive oil

Prepare the concoction with a tea bag or use tea powder. Once the tea cools down, add a teaspoon of olive oil to it. Mix well. Apply this green tea solution to your scalp. After an hour, rinse off with cold or lukewarm water.

The Wholesome Apple Cider Vinegar:

You will need:
Apple cider vinegar

You will need:
An onion

Extract the juice of onion by grating it. Strain it and apply the juice to your scalp. Massage well and leave it on for an hour. Wash it off thoroughly with a shampoo. Follow this routine twice a week.

Yes, the strong pungent smell of onion is worth it once you know its benefits. The potion helps improve hair growth by boosting the level of an antioxidant enzyme catalase while the sulphur content minimises hair thinning and breakage.

The Versatile Aloe vera:

You will need:
2 tbsp of aloe vera leaf’s gel or store-bought aloe vera gel
1 tbsp of coconut oil

Stir the coconut oil and aloe vera together until they form a smooth, blended paste. Apply the mask to your hair with your fingers. Leave the mixture on for about 30 minutes to an hour. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Aloe vera is the ultimate does-it-all ingredient. It contains proteolytic enzymes that repair dead skin cells on the scalp promoting hair growth, preventing itching, reducing dandruff and conditioning your hair.
