Best Bridal Make-Up Ideas From the Sabyasachi Show

One Word – Regale!

With a hint of shimmer, rich contrasting colors – oxblood, emerald and maroon blending seamlessly with baroque crystals, kashmiri tilla, zardosi, faux fur – lent life to what we have to know as regalia. Designer extraordinaire Sabyasachi doesn’t disappoint yet again, with his impeccable – ‘Illuminate’.

Trust Sabyasachi to concoct magic with his weaves that are ‘oh so perfect’ for the bride; what also took our breath away was the intense & luminous makeup. Sabyasachi roped in ace makeup artist Donald Simrock to create a look that was not only whimsical but also magnificent. Would-be-brides – are you listening?

Donald Simrock played a lot with gorgeous plums and bronze shades to create the look for Sabyasachi’s grand finale. Neutral toned – with nude lips and bronze brown smudged eyes, flushed cheeks, gold highlights, glossy lips were the key attractions of the ‘Illuminate’ look created by Donald. And, when we saw Kareena Kapoor walk the stage donning the ‘Illuminate’ makeup look, we were sold!

You too Can Create the Radiant ‘Illuminate’ Look!

Here’s How:

Start by prepping your skin for a photo-ready finish. Create an illusion of a glowing complexion by blending an illuminating primer on your face. Choose the Colorbar Perfect Match Primer for a glowing candlelit effect. Finish with Lakme Absolute Illuminating Foundation.

Next, highlight the inner corners of the eye. Add a touch of gold to your smokey eye look for more depth. Pick the right shade from metallic shades from Lakme Absolute Shine Line. It is a range that celebrates the glamour of shimmer.

Bring out your natural cheek bone structure with the Lakme Moon-Lit Highlighter. Dab it on the outer corners of your eye and down along your cheekbones. Blend it well.

Finish your look with a superglossy lip shade that will you give you a fuller-looking pout. Our favorite is the Lakme Absolute Plump & Shine Lip Gloss.

We can’t wait for the ‘Illuminate’ makeup trend to make a name for itself in the bride circle!
